CEO Tom Embley Presents Recycling Innovations

Tom Embley explains to Senator Carper how the WastePAC Densifier compacts plastic waste, including plastic grocery bags, up to a 40:1 ratio then heats it to an exact temperature to produce a protective shell for easy recycling.

Senator Carper views a live demonstration of the PAC Repelletizer.

Tom Embley shows Senator Carper how the PAC Roll Splitter removes plastic film from cores in just 8 seconds. Roll splitters improve the safety and efficiency of film and core recycling.

During roundtable discussions initiated by The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI), Embley pointed out how small businesses in the U.S. are doing their part by investing in green technology needed to create jobs and safeguard the environment. Talks focused on how economic policies impact the ability to expand operations, develop new technologies and create jobs.

In a personal note to SPI after the tour, Senator Carper wrote “I was impressed with the technology we saw during our tour, especially as it relates to recycling. It was a good opportunity to see firsthand some of the work being done in the plastics industry.” SPI thanked PAC for hosting the tour and being an exemplary representative of the industry with a key member of the United State Senate.

Suzanne Morgan, SPI's Senior Director of Government Affairs and Grassroots Advocacy, greets Senator Carper at the event.
