Granulate Feed System
Simultaneously feed both fluff and virgin resins into the extruder to reclaim your edge trim and roll scrap without densifying or pelletizing the waste material – and do it fast at reclaim rates of up to 1,200 lbs./hr. per screw.
Our Granulate Feed System (GFS) features two hopper chambers to accept both fluff and virgin resins separately, then feed the virgin into the extruder gravimetrically and auger-feed the fluff. This proprietary design ensures the desired ratio of fluff to virgin is consistently achieved and the extruder throughput demand is always satisfied.
But since extruder throughput can fluctuate, our GFS includes a variable speed motor-driven auger, which automatically adjusts the feed rate based on the speed of the extruder, as well as agitator arms to prevent bridging and loss of feed. Consistent feeding is assured while extruder surging is virtually eliminated.
Not only are virgin and fluff fed simultaneously but with our GFS, you can simultaneously feed both edge trim and roll scrap into the system. It's engineered with an internal limit switch inside the fluff chamber that enslaves the unit to a granulator roll feeder. This maintains the proper proportion of materials returning to the extruder.
